[soon-to-be] Shopaholic and [soon-to-be] Baby.

Today is supposed to be Father's Day but given that my baby and I haven't met our "future dad" yet *wink*.. We spent the day as normal as possible, my Mum cooked Dad's favorite dish for lunch and at around 3pm, we went out to shop some groceries and ended up buying a LOT of infant onesies from our favorite "suki" UK supplier..lol. Talk about "branded" and "cheap"! Most of my wardrobe pieces came from UK, hehe.. I remember my office mates asking me where I got the cute floral skirt that I was wearing and I said I bought it at some mall when really, I paid only ten pesos for it. Sssshhh :) No wonder they call me the Ukay Expert..Lols

For a total of Php200.00, I got all these:

I don't know baby's gender yet so I had to pick a set of blues, neutrals and pinks! haha.. anyhow, if it's a boy I can gift the pink set to one of my godchilds and vice-versa :)

But there are some things that cannot be bought at these cheap rates for a newborn baby, and browsing online, I can only drool. If only clicking the "Like" button will get me all these for my baby.. Parang si Lola lang sa commercial ng BayanDSL.. lol :D

And a LOT MOOORE... whoa...

I can imagine how shopaholic I'll become once my babe is here ..but/and of course, I need to earn moolah TWICE as HARD! Whew.. :) Regardless, giving my best to sustain for my child will still be the most glorious pain I can and will ever feel.. I know all Moms do :)

FIRST, I lost weight (hallelujah!)

From 164lbs to 139lbs! Which finally put me into the normal range of the BMI Calculator :)

SECOND, I received a wonderful gift - a baby in my tummy :)

THIRD, I got full access to my room again. Yay for comfort!

FOURTH, I finally regained my strength and got fully recovered from being so wimpy and sickly for the past 3months.

and FIFTH, I may have had to leave my job, but at least now I am with my Mum and Dad :)

And up until now, the way you check me in my room in the middle of the night…

There is no one in this world that I look up to and love more than YOU. And when my little one comes out in this world, I know she’ll be alright, because you’re her grandma and from what I read on one grandma’s view, she said “I can never explain the joy I felt when I saw my daughter’s baby for the first time, it was like the day I gave birth to her. And I can’t stop smiling because I know I get to fill up whatever I missed. I get to be a mom all over again, that’s what grandmas do. J”

No Matter How Small...

I don't know when this video was published. I don't even live in the US to start off, but regardless, I am a soon-to-be mom and the comments I've read in the thread of this video disturbed my whole being. I know I live in a country where the Catholic church have a say in these kinds of issues, be it a national dilemma or not. But where I pondered and tried to think rational and unbiased, the girl's last statement stuck into my thoughts. "Even though you can't see them or hear them at all, a person's a person... no matter how small."

So I stand firm. I know every woman have their individual rights and choices, and not all continents share the same ideals about whether a fetus is a child already or not. Everybody is entitled to their opinions. But if you are a woman, and you see that beating heart of that fetus as early as 7weeks, no matter how wanted or unwanted the pregnancy is, you'll know that the word fetus is only a name, and you'll feel it in your bones that abortion is not a choice, it is if you don't have that thing we call HEART.

Tuhmaaahhh! (prolonged aaah) LOL!

I am officially a couch potato. School started for Jaezelle, Dad's doing his final touches to our new house in Sorsogon, and Mum started her new term as the grade school principal at Donsol, Pilar, Sorsogon (where I'll be sneaking in one of these days with my aunt to watch the whale sharks and see who looks better, my bulging baby bump, or them..haha!). I am dang bored. And at this very moment I dunno what else to write in here.
